Lingwendil's first website in years!

It's crazy how much has changed, and what has stayed the same.

I've been going back and forth on creating a website to keep all my things in one place for years, and I'm so busy that it felt so daunting htat I never really got around to it until now. A discussion with some other members of the GP2040-CE Discord finally led me to give it a try.

The problem is that I absolutely abhor modern web design.

All of it.

So much of it is this uninspired, e-commerce centric, beige/grey on white nonsense with soulless high-res photography thrown in for flair. On top of that theres approximately fifteen competing algorithms for analytics and advertising clogging everthing up. Disgusting.

So I did what any sensible millenial would do. I started to think of the early 2000's era of broadband internet access back when the web was still *fun* and genuine. This, of course, made me think of the enormous amount of Anime and gaming fansites, dark backgrounds with colorful text, silly design that was pretty simple otherwise.

With that in mind, I did some quick digging around and decided that a nice, calm template with a text-based layout would do well. Purple is my favorite color, and there is so much that can be done with it. It's nothing super innovative or crazy, but here it is!

I'm still putting everything together and getting the categories set up, but look forward to more progress and content to make everything actually look lived-in.
